Hurricane Charley gave me a reason to introduce my second stuffed animal into the strip. I give all my stuffed animals personalities, so Sandy, Laura, and Charlie were already fully formed characters before I ever put them into the strip. The weird thing is that their personalities play a role for the comic. Charlie, in real life (yeah, I said it!), is not nearly as big of a badass. When I created a Twitter account for Sandy, a couple of friends called to ask if I was OK. Maybe I'm not. Oh well. Fuck it!
